The International Seminar on History and Historiography is an important step towards consolidating and expanding a network of research and production of historical knowledge covering the North, Northeast and Central-West regions. Its itinerant nature enables the dissemination and promotes the improvement of the quality of scientific production, eliminating barriers in the area of history in the process of internationalization of knowledge.
By stimulating academic debate in the field of historiography, enhanced by dialogues and the establishment of balance sheets on new approaches and trends in historians' research, the Seminar contributes to the renewal of historiography in the regions covered, while encouraging the consolidation of institutional research groups and the participation of basic education teachers.
